Congratulations to our Director Andrew Hill (left), shown here with his Notre Dame Research Supervisor Professor Syd Shea, on graduating with a Doctor of Natural Resource Management. The title of Andrew's thesis was "Factors that contribute to the establishment of marine protected areas in Western Australia."
Rachael visited Christmas Island this month with our partner David Fell (www.davidfellenvironmental.com.au) to undertake vegetation mapping for upcoming projects. The weather was fine and the wildlife enormous. Many thanks to David for lending us his rainforest expertise!
Range to Reef would like to welcome Roget Bibby to the team. Roget specialises in Environmental Management Systems and is a certified auditor. Roget will be replacing Matt who has recently left us to work closer to his family.
Range to Reef is delighted to have its experience in protected area management recognised in recently being chosen to prepare the ten year management plan for the Aldabra Atoll World Heritage Area. Aldabra Atoll, located in the Aldabra Group of islands in the Western Indian Ocean and part of the Outer Islands of the Seychelles has been described as ‘one of the wonders of the world’ by Sir David Attenborough.
