Record numbers of baby red crabs

It has been a bumper year for baby red crabs with hundreds of millions emerging from the ocean and marching inland to the rainforest on Christmas Island. The large numbers seen have been attributed to a number of factors including good sea conditions such as currents, swell, winds and temperatures.
