National Threatened Species Day

September 7th is National Threatened Species Day to mark the 80th anniversary of the death of the last thylacine (Tasmanian tiger), held in captivity, in Hobart in 1936.

A key role of environmental consultancies is to examine the science surrounding threatened species, to assess the impact upon these species from proposed projects and to determine how impacts can be avoided, managed or mitigated.
