Spatial Management

Spatial management can be used in numerous ways to assist environmental investigations and planning. Range to Reef clients frequently require maps for reports, risk assessment, constraints mapping and planning purposes. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can be used to analyse demographic, topographic, environmental and land use data.

Range to Reef Environmental provides comprehensive 2D mapping services using Esri ArcGIS mapping software. Some of the cartographic services provided include:

  •    Spatial data mapping

  •    Constraints analysis

  •    Survey planning

  •    Storage of environmental records such as monitoring point locations or data

  •    Mining proposals, works approvals and licencing facility layouts

  •    Mapping geo-tagged photo records

  •    Geo-processing (for example calculating the area of land parcels)

  •    Change detection between different time periods
